For those of you not on face book, here's my 25 random things about me.

1. I was born in Wheatridge, Colorado. I moved to South Salem, (Vista) New York, where I grew up.
2. I was baptized as an infant in an Episcopal church, later confirmed around age 12. In college I fell away from the Lord. In 1992 I was baptized by immersion at Battlefield Bible in Sharpsburg, Maryland, where I rededicated my life to the Lord.
3. I came to West Virginia and Shepherd College in 1985 because of the swim team and social work program, and the Christian swim coach.
4. 1st job lifeguard, 2nd job social work, 3rd job motherhood
5. I have one brother, Rod who lives in Tampa, Florida with his family.
6. Throughout my childhood my father had and Ancient & Medieval mail order coin business. Because of this we would travel each summer to different major city in the country to the ANA-- Annual Numismatic Association convention.
7. My brother and I were "pages" where we earned money running errands or getting food for the coin dealers.
8. In the early eighties, my parents opened a collectibles store in Ridgefield, Connecticut. It was called Yesteryear's Collectibles. Here my parents employed many of my brother’s friends. Comic books were the hottest item. I’m sure the boys spent more money than they earned on comics or at the bowling alley arcade.
9. I learned to swim at the YMCA in New Canaan, Connecticut. I joined my first summer swim team at the Laurel Pond swim club around age 10.
10. I had an English Setter called Scamp as a child. His show name was "Clara Howe Star Warrior", named after the breeder and Star Wars.
11. I learned a majority of my craft or sewing skills through Girl Scouts.
12. In junior high I had a friend pierce my ears with ice & needle against my parents wishes. It was the same day I saw a Men at Work concert. My punishment was removing the earrings and not discussing for six months. I later in college still pierced my ears more on my own. Today I still have 4 in left ear and 2 in right.
13. In high school I was active in 4-H where we rode horses and had horse shows. I have great memories of trail rides and barebacked pond swims.
14. Earlier than this my Uncle had a farm called Elmwood Farm where I began horseback riding and showing English.
15. When I was 15 my Aunt moved east from Colorado with my two cousins David and Jennifer, and moved in with us. Instant siblings. Within six months my parents also took in a troubled teen, a year older than me, now I had an older brother???
16. I got my license in a yellow bug.
17. My senior year of high school, I was president of a new organization called Safe Rides. It was a student run program where students provided a “safe” ride home to other students to prevent drunk driving. The program ran Friday and Saturday nights 10 pm – 2 am.
18. I fell in love with humpback whales after my first whale watch out of Provincetown, Massachusetts.
19. The one thing I wish I had done in college was work on a whale watch boat of Gloucester, Massachusetts, for at least one summer.
20. I met my husband through a foster child I worked with. We later met again and began dating through the youth ministries in which we both served.
21. Carey and I both attended Shepherd College (now University, still can’t use to that), at the same time, but never met. Although we did know some of the same people.
22. My favorite restaurant is Post Corner, in Darien, Connecticut where they serve Greek pizza.
23. I use to spend hours working out in a pool. Now I spend hours working at a dance studio where my girls dance.
24. Carey and I will be married 15 years this April.
